• READ THE STUFF AT THE TOP OF THE CONFIG. IT'S IMPORTANT.
• All of these configs should be put in /tf/cfg/
• Any graphical config should be named autoexec.cfg
• Any class config should be named [class].cfg

frequently asked questions

Q. My FPS jumps about a lot.
A. Try using the fullscreen launch options instead of the windowed ones. You could also try adding -high to your launch options, and if neither of those help try removing everything except for the binds from config.cfg and restarting.

Q. I'm getting a white shine on characters.
A. Launch options. Use them.

Q. On some items (hats and medals) I'm getting fire textures.
A. This is a bug with dx8 and mat_specular 1. I have reported it to Robin and have told him how to fix it, but I have not recieved a reply.

Q. What constitutes a good or bad network connection?
A. Personal preference. If you're not sure which to choose, try both and see which you like more.

Q. I'm getting a lot of fog.
A. Launch options. Use them.

Q. I don't like the FPS meter, how do I remove it?
A. Change cl_showfps to 0 in the autoexec.

Q. How much better is this than other FPS configs?

Q. It's too bright/dark, how do I make it darker/brighter?
A. Change mat_monitorgamma in the config to something different, try 2.2 if it is too bright, and 1.8 if it is too dark. This will only work in fullscreen.
